The Edmonton Firefighters International Sky Climb takes place at the Stantec Tower in downtown Edmonton, Alberta (10220 103 Ave NW). The tower is located in the heart of Edmonton’s ICE District – Canada’s largest mixed-use sports and entertainment district. Nearby, you will find Rogers Place, an architectural and technological marvel which hosts the biggest names in music and is home to the Edmonton Oilers Hockey team.
The event takes around six hours from the start of the event to the moment the last climber exits the stairwell. Firefighters are batched in groups of ~40 climbers with the same climb time. Individuals start their climb ~20 seconds apart. Teams, which can have an unlimited number of members, are grouped together in the same climb time.
